Job Opportunity: School Finance Officer
Location: Handsworth, Birmingham
Position: School Finance Officer
Hours: Full-Time, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Pay Rate: £13 – £17 per hour (depending on experience)
Contract: Ongoing with the potential for a permanent position
T4S Education is working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in Handsworth, Birmingham, to recruit an experienced School Finance Officer. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in the financial management of a vibrant school community.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Oversee the daily financial operations of the school.
2. Manage budgets, financial reporting, and monitoring expenditure.
3. Process invoices, purchase orders, and payments.
4. Handle payroll administration and related queries.
5. Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
6. Liaise with external suppliers and stakeholders.

Requirements:

1. Proven experience in school finance or a strong financial background in a similar sector.
2. Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
3. Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
4. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
6. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to process a new one.
