We at Ribbons & Reeves are working with a wonderful school in Sutton who are looking to hire a new School Finance Manager to head up the financial department.

As the new School Finance Manager, you will need to be a well-organised, energetic individual, capable of handling typical day-to-day financial responsibilities as well as manage a team of administrators and assistants/officers.

School Finance Manager Job Summary:

1. Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 depending on experience.
2. Take the lead of the school's annual budget - ensuring proper allocation of resources in line with school priorities.
3. Reporting to the Headteacher and all budget holders, ensuring they are always up to date on financial information, allowing them to make informed decisions on financial matters.
4. Produce and present financial reports to SLT and the Governors.
5. Liaise with the Business Manager, HR and Director of Estates, maintaining strict budgetary allowances for staff costs.
6. Oversee and support financial management of all school projects, including existing income generating activities and new school developments.

School Finance Manager Job Requirements:

1. Experience working in the role within schools.
2. Proficient with software such as SIMS, FMS, Sage, Weduc etc.
3. Finance degree from a UK university - Desirable.
4. Possess relevant qualifications e.g. AAT, ACA, ACCA, CMA, CIMA.
