Job description

School Finance Assistant
Part time/Permanent
(Term time – 28 hours per week/4 days/Non term time 14 hours per week)

Our client is seeking a highly organised individual to join their Finance function. The role will be part-time, all year round, assisting with general finance duties and other administration.

Duties

  1. Processing purchase ledger transactions, including supplier set up, and following up approval processes to ensure timely payments
  2. Tracking down and uploading direct debits to accounting systems
  3. Processing of staff expenses for payment
  4. Filing of financial documents
  5. Opening, sorting and distribution of incoming emails/mail
  6. Management of stationery supplies including orders

Experience & Skills

  1. Previous experience of working in a similar role with particular emphasis on purchase ledger
  2. Highly organised and efficient
  3. Numerate
  4. Strong attention to detail
  5. Strong Excel spreadsheet skills
  6. Awareness of iFinance
  7. Working in a school setting
