Are you passionate about young people and keen to play a pivotal role in improving the mental wellbeing of children and families across the London Borough of Southwark?
The School Engagement Team works collaboratively with primary, secondary and specialist schools across Southwark to identify their needs and provide support which enhances their approach to mental health and wellbeing.
The School Engagement Team delivers targeted group and 1-2-1 interventions in schools, supporting young people with challenges such as anxiety, low mood, trauma, self-esteem, and self-care. The team also delivers assemblies and class workshops to raise young people’s awareness around mental health topics, as well as facilitating training and wellbeing sessions for parents/carers and school staff.
Groundwork London works with communities across the capital to transform their lives and the places they live. The School Engagement Team works as part of The Nest, Groundwork London’s mental wellbeing support service for young people aged 0–25 and living in Southwark. The School Engagement Team was launched by the Nest in 2021 and has since worked in 50+ schools in the borough and spoken with thousands of students and hundreds of school staff about various topics relating to mental health.
We are looking for a dynamic practitioner to join the team as a Wellbeing Coach to deliver mental health support in primary, secondary, and specialist schools across Southwark.
