Job description

As a Scheduler, you'll play an important part in making sure the right resources are available for both reactive and planned maintenance work. This role involves managing a large area and coordinating with different teams to meet various business needs every day. It’s all about delivering great service to our customers and helping our field teams work as efficiently as possible.

What you will be doing as a Scheduler
  • You'll ensure that every technician has a full day of work, matching their skills to the right tasks. Strong communication with field teams, including managers and coordinators, will be essential to keep everything running smoothly and on time.
  • You’ll monitor reactive work and ensure all tasks meet SLA targets. You'll respond promptly to alarms, escalate issues where needed, and manage the assignment and reassignment of work.
  • Adhering to company processes—including health and safety protocols—is crucial, and you'll ensure all activities align with our policies.
  • You’ll collaborate closely with various teams such as the field crew, planners, and resource coordinators, offering support where needed and resolving issues quickly.
  • This is a role where continuous improvement is key. You’ll work alongside our Continuous Improvement Team to help drive positive change.
  • You'll use Microsoft Office, SAP ECC, and Click to manage schedules and monitor progress.

Working Hours: 08:00 am - 16:00 pm, Monday to Friday.

Base Location: Hybrid – minimum of 2 days a week working from the office in Kemble Court, Reading, with the option to work the rest of the days from home.

What you should bring to the role
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Solid computer skills, especially with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Experience with Salesforce is desirable.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced customer service environment.
  • Good analytical skills, with the ability to identify and address potential issues.
  • Previous experience in the Water/Wastewater industry is a plus, but not essential.
