We want individuals within cricket clubs, with the cricket club committee support/approval, to put themselves forward as a Wellbeing Champion to promote positive mental health and wellbeing. You will take the lead on promoting wellbeing throughout the Cricket Club. This will be achieved by pledging to become AWARE (Awareness, Ways to Wellbeing, Attitude, Respond, Environment).
This type of role would suit anyone who:
We are looking for volunteers who want to support our coaches and participants in making Super 1s, a disability cricket programme for 12–24-year-olds, a great experience. You will support participation within cricket activity by offering praise and encouragement, listen to the lead coach and follow their instruction, support participants to engage with cricket successfully, and encourage, praise and communicate with our participants.
This type of role would suit anyone who:
Our volunteer teams play an important role in the running of Sporting Memories Clubs. A unique opportunity for you to be involved in clubs designed to help tackle social isolation, while providing fun and companionship. There are opportunities available either as a Session Facilitator – to plan a programme of activities and ensure that the resources and equipment, or a Session Supporter – to help with the set up of sessions and assist the Team with the running of the club.
We are looking for volunteers to really take ownership of Walking Cricket, to allow it to really develop and thrive in a local community. Your role will be both administrative and a facilitator. You will register new members, keeping in contact with team members and encouraging them to attend, organise teams, facilitate a match and help umpire/score games.
This type of role would suit anyone who:
You will support people with dementia to continue to feel engaged and involved in our meaningful activities, such as quizzes, boccia, curling and table tennis, and sport theme memory boxes. You will play a key role in helping people feel less isolated, focus on their strengths, and remain active and confident. Your 2 hours per week will support the running of a group activity session.
This type of role would suit anyone who:
We are seeking volunteers to support the delivery of our performance disability programme. We are looking for innovative, passionate and dedicated coaches to support and grow our disability team. You will support coaching sessions and fixtures, developing a rapport with players and other coaches to motivate, inspire and support player development.
This type of role would suit anyone who:
We are seeking volunteers to support the delivery of our Street Cricket programme. We are looking for innovative, passionate and dedicated coaches to support and grow our Street Cricket programmes in Bridgwater, Weston Super Mare, Taunton and Yeovil. Each Street Cricket session is 1 hour.
You will play a key role in engaging young people within the local community and inspiring ongoing participation in the Street Cricket project, by producing exciting and engaging plans for weekly cricket activities which are relevant to the age and experience of participants and link to previous activities.
