Responsibilities
  • Team member in projects and construction team, responsible for revision of the design and layout to ensure conformity with food safety requirements.
  • Conduct the needed risk assessment for projects done within the production area/surrounding areas that may pose risk to product safety and determine the precautions needed to overcome the risks introduced by the project steps.
  • Follow up during the projects execution and supervise the tracking of the projects snag-list relative to food safety.
  • Team member in the site management.
  • Enforce operation to comply with the pre-request programs.
  • Form, train and lead the food safety/HACCP team, coordinate for the team’s meetings.
  • Develop, review & validate HACCP studies.
  • Plan for HACCP regular verification.
  • Form, train and lead food defense team, coordinate for the team’s meetings.
  • Develop, review & validate TACCP studies and plan for HACCP regular verification.
  • Develop the needed SOPs and review the SOPs created by specialists.
  • Develop, review & validate Food defense Program and its regular verification.
  • Develop, review & validate Food Fraud Program and its regular verification.
  • Review training needs, plans, materials and exams prepared by FS specialist.
  • Training of specialists and facilitate FS L3 training, and the new subjects.
  • Review the sanitation programs of lines and areas and follow up execution.
  • Develop & review the EMP plan of the site, follow up the sampling process, review the testing results and call EMRT for meeting to take the necessary actions.
  • Prepare audit plan for the external cold stores, review the audit’s outputs and the action plans.
  • Prepare audit plan for trade and retail, review the audit’s outputs, report them to quality management and upload them on audit form website.
  • Manage the AMP & SIP in the corresponding site.
  • Prepare a forecast of the needed MOH, controlling spending along the year.
  • Review the raised MOCs for every significant change at the site that may or may not affect food safety.
  • Investigate incidents related to FS, determine the needed actions, follow up on the action plan and modify the preparedness for emergencies’ plan.
  • Keep the site prepared for the AIB audit at any time.
  • Lead the inspection plan in the site (monthly internal inspection, internal FSSC22K audit, daily inspection), and outside the corresponding site (cross audits and audit the expected partners when needed).
  • Review the action plans prepared by/with the different departments and determine the weak planned actions to be addressed to the site heads.
  • Design KPIs for site’s food safety performance and track the results throughout the year.
  • Lead frequent meetings to discuss food safety performance.
  • Prepare for the external FSSC22000 audit and develop an action plan for the findings.
  • Track the invoices received, get the needed approvals and follow up until they are paid.
  • Follow up on issuing the needed PRs and POs.
  • Select a pest controller for the site, coordinate for the contract to be issued, review the IPM program suggested by the contractor, follow up the execution, and develop an analysis system for trends and raw data.
  • Contribute to the preparedness for R & D trials by conducting the needed risk assessment, determining the needed precautions, and following up on the execution.
  • Develop a plan for engagement of all site teams in FSPR Channel Form and collect all sent reports from personnel, evaluate them, and send the final report on a monthly basis to teams and managers, followed by motivation and recognition for the best team on a biannual basis.
  • Develop a plan for cross audits between other departments in the plant and follow up.
  • Review the reporting and share the bright and hot spots on a monthly basis with the team and top management.
  • Review and update the allergen program and allergen matrix in case of new ingredients or flavors.
  • Review the results of external analysis of RMs and Water to ensure compliance with Egyptian and international standards.
Qualifications
