Background:
The migration from SAP ECC to S/4HANA is a strategic initiative that will enable our organisation to stay competitive in a rapidly evolving business environment. This migration is essential for futureproofing our technology infrastructure, allowing us to leverage cutting-edge innovations such as AI, machine learning, and cloud capabilities. It will also help reduce system complexity, optimize business processes, and enhance user experiences, ultimately supporting our long-term growth and digital transformation goals.

As the Test and Hypercare support analyst/coordinator, you will provide a key role in supporting the project managers in managing the testing of the SAP system to ensure functionality, performance, and stability. This includes planning, executing, and reporting on test cases, identifying issues, and supporting the resolution of defects within the SAP environment. After go-live, you will be required to assist the implementation partner in managing and reporting on the support services provided during hypercare.

The role will report to the S/4HANA Project Manager but will have a strong reporting line to both the project managers within the business, as well as the Implementation partner.

Activities will include:

1. Provide test planning services for the project.
2. Assist with the development and execution of test cases for SAP applications (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, SAP Fiori).
3. Assist in the preparation of test data for test execution.
4. Ensure functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT) of SAP modules is conducted.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and map them to test scenarios.
6. Identify, document, and track defects in the testing phase, and work with developers to resolve issues.
7. Create and maintain testing documentation, including test plans, test scripts, and test data.
8. Assist in the preparation and execution of end-to-end testing cycles, ensuring the SAP system meets user expectations.
9. Provide support during UAT and gather feedback from end-users.
10. Perform post-implementation validation and testing to ensure system integrity after deployment.
11. Manage and track hypercare support calls and manage to closure.

Deliverables:

As part of the S/4HANA migration project, the role would be expected to effectively support the project activities and deliverables. The person will need to work closely with the Global Hub teams as well as the implementation partner to drive the following tasks successfully:

1. Test plans, test scripts, and test case documentation.
2. Defect logs and issue reports.
3. Test execution results and detailed reports on test outcomes.
4. UAT feedback summary and resolution tracking.
5. Support functional teams in creating test data.
6. Testing exit criteria being met.
7. Post-implementation test results.
8. Hypercare incidents.

Experience:

1. 3+ years of experience in SAP testing (preferably with SAP S/4HANA, or SAP Fiori).
2. Experience in different testing types, such as functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing.
3. Familiarity with SAP business processes (e.g., Finance, Supply Chain, Project Systems) and related modules.
4. Experience with SAP Solution Manager or other test management tools is a plus.
5. Experience in hypercare support processes & tools.

Qualifications / Skills:

1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field. SAP testing certification or equivalent is a plus.
2. Strong knowledge of SAP functionality and configurations.
3. Proficient in writing and executing detailed test cases.
4. Ability to design test scenarios and test scripts.
5. Defect Management ability.
6. Test & hypercare reporting ability.
7. Ability to work with on isolation and provide progress reports.
8. Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
9. Ability to work with business users to understand requirements and translate them into test scenarios.
10. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
11. Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
