Job description

A well-known public sector organisation based in London is seeking to recruit a SAP Business Change Lead for an initial 2-3 month contract role. This role will require the contractor to be on site 2-3 days per week in London and is paying £600/day outside IR35.

As part of a new SAP implementation, the SAP Business Change Lead is an integral role for the organisation.

Key Duties and Responsibilities entail:

  1. Delivery of the Change Strategy: tailoring and specifying technical implications prior to go live to help in the delivering plans for managing change across the organisation.
  2. Stakeholder Engagement: Manage stakeholder expectations, addressing concerns and providing updates to ensure their alignment with the change objectives. Establish mechanisms for receiving and acting on stakeholder feedback to the technical teams.
  3. Development and Readiness of the Change Network: Support the build and development of a change network, including training, workshops and communications, when required.
  4. Business Impact Assessment: Working with analysts and communications to meaningfully articulate the change on people, processes, and technology. Outlining and managing the benefits realisation and value propositions.
  5. Engagement: Working with the Communications Lead to ensure communications are applicable to the audience and that they reach and are understood by all affected parties.
  6. Change Coaching: Develop and deliver change specific coaching/training within functions to ensure they have the right skills and behaviours to enable the change. Ensure employees are prepared for and engaging with any technical training provided.
  7. Monitor Readiness: Responsible for the determination and assessment of stakeholder readiness - addressing any gaps. Track milestones and adjust plans based on progress and feedback.
  8. Oversee Transition Plans: Work with business teams to ensure smooth handover of new processes or systems into daily operations.
  9. Mitigate Risks: Identify and address potential obstacles to successful change adoption.

Key skills required:

  • Prosci or equivalent change qualification.
  • Relevant experience in delivering finance transformation, preferably in a SAP programme.
  • Good working knowledge of SAP.
  • Experience of successfully managing change, change impact assessments and change benefits to ensure change readiness at multiple levels.
  • Experience of analysing the change training and communication requirements for key stakeholders.
  • Experience of engaging with stakeholders to define training needs at a range of levels and their implications for learning.
  • Experience of engaging with stakeholders to define communications at a range of levels to enable effective change.
  • Knows how to manage change using ADKAR methodology.
  • Knows how to identify the impacts of change across a complex organisation with multiple levels of stakeholders.
  • Experience of working with system integrators and SMEs within a Finance transformation.

This is a busy operational role where you will be fully involved at all levels.
