Job Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a SAP Basis Security Administrator, based in Towcester, Northamptonshire to join a well-established global team of IT professionals supporting a multi-million business with a footprint in the UK, USA, and India.

As a market leader, this high technology business is growing – and the expansion will continue via organic growth and acquisition. Their strategy places customers at the centre of everything meaning the IT department must support over 150+ software applications including SAP on many hundred servers.

Responsibilities:

1. Install, maintain, configure, and tune SAP environments to ensure integrity and stability.
2. Install security patches, OSS Notes, and support packs, including OS and DB-level patching activities for SAP and integrated systems.
3. Establish and perform daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly system health checks.
4. Monitor SAP instances, analyze EWA reports, system logs, performance metrics, dumps and recommend/implement improvements.
5. Monitor overall system performance to ensure the uptime, scalability, and reliability of applications and infrastructure.

Ideal Candidates:

Ideal candidates for the job of SAP Basis Security Administrator will possess the following skills:

1. Experience in SAP Basis administration and SAP Security administration experience for SAP ECC and S/4 HANA.
2. Possess working knowledge of SAP Basis administration, including managing, monitoring, transport system management, system refreshes/client copies, upgrades/support packs, tuning, and troubleshooting of the SAP systems.
3. Expertise/knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Linux, and Java.
4. British passport holder and eligible to pass SC clearance.
5. Happy to travel to site every day.
