Job Title: Sales Manager – Geotechnical Systems

Remuneration: £50,000 neg + 10% bonus

The role of Sales Manager – Geotechnical Systems will involve:
  1. Overseeing the specification division dealing with a range of geotechnical systems such as grass reinforcements, tree root protection, ground protection, gravel reinforcements and traffic paving.
  2. Managing a sales & technical team of 8 members with plans to expand the team.
  3. Leading, driving and developing the team to ensure that team targets are met.
  4. Ensuring the development of each team member through monthly meetings and annual performance reviews.
  5. Assisting with any technical assistance for challenging queries involving engineers where required.
  6. Assisting with the implementation of sales and marketing strategies to improve performance.
  7. Maintaining and improving conversion rates of technical leads to orders.
  8. Providing monthly sales reports to Senior Management.
The ideal applicant will be:
  1. A proven track record in sales management with examples of growing and nurturing teams within the construction industry.
  2. Technical knowledge of the civils / groundworks market sector (advantageous).
  3. Experience dealing with specifiers, consultants, contractors, and councils (ideal).
  4. Familiarity with specifications and specification literature.
  5. Strong people management skills.
  6. IT literate (Microsoft Office).
  7. Highly organised, motivated, and driven.
  8. Excellent communication skills both written and verbally.
  9. Outgoing, enthusiastic, and confident personality.
