Sales Manager - Freight Forwarding

Location: Chelmsford, UK

Salary: up to £45,000 (DOE) + Commission + Car Allowance

Working Hours: Monday to Friday - 8:30am-5:00pm

Are you a results driven Sales Manager, experienced in Sales and Operations for Ocean, Road and/or Air Freight, looking for a new role in Chelmsford? This role could be right for you!

My client is offering a fantastic package to help grow their business and Freight Forwarding sector. The right candidate will be an experienced Sales Specialist who has worked previously for a UK based Freight Forwarder with knowledge and experience with Air, Road and/or Sea Freight.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. To develop and maintain effective business relationships with new and existing clients, offering excellent freight forwarding services.
  2. Manage new and existing business, handling the operations for consignments, from booking to invoice.
  3. To generate and follow up sales leads, visiting potential and existing customers to obtain new business at reasonable profit.
  4. Be the forefront of the companies' development by promoting the business to new and existing clients.

Requirements:

  1. Experience in a management role in the freight/logistics industry.
  2. Freight Forwarding Sales / Business Development Manager Experience.
  3. Experience and understanding of Freight Forwarding Operations.
  4. Experience working for a freight forwarding company.
  5. Ability to bring business would be advantageous.
  6. Hold a full, clean, UK driving licence.
