Set on 15 acres of beautiful land, Thornbury Castle Hotel is the only Tudor Castle operating as a hotel in England. The Castle has recently completed a multi-million pound refurbishment program bringing back to life the regal grandeur of its past. Located 20 minutes’ drive from Bristol, it offers 26 bedchambers and suites, an award-winning restaurant, bar and two unique meeting and conference spaces.

Job Description

We are seeking a driven, dynamic and experienced professional with a passion for the hospitality industry.

  1. Identify and pursue new business opportunities and increase sales for Thornbury Castle Hotel
  2. Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets
  3. Support Hotel service and strategy by regularly updating action plans and financial objectives
  4. Attend industry events to promote the hotel and generate leads
  5. Monitor market trends and competitor activities and adjust sales strategies accordingly
  6. Work closely with the Hotel Manager and Management Company to ensure all strategies and campaigns meet the needs of the business
  7. Manage and motivate the Sales and Events team, supporting them in achieving sales targets, handling calls and enquiries and producing event proposals
  8. Develop and build relationships with new and existing customers to enable future bookings, through sales calls, FAM trips, industry events etc
  9. Identify marketing opportunities and coordinate with the marketing team to create promotional material
Qualifications
  1. A minimum of 3 years of experience working in hotel events/sales
  2. A proven track record of achieving sales targets
  3. Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  4. Excellent negotiation skills
  5. Ability to be a strong team member and leader
  6. On-site work with the availability to travel and be flexible with working hours according to business needs
