Job description

A market-leading manufacturer of innovative seating systems for the aerospace industry is seeking a driven and experienced Sales Manager to lead business development and account management across global aviation clients.

This is a high-profile, client-facing role suited to someone with deep knowledge of aerospace supply chains, experience working with major OEMs or Tier 1 interiors suppliers, and a strong track record of delivering sales growth in a technical environment.

Reporting to the Commercial Director, you'll be responsible for expanding existing customer relationships and identifying new commercial opportunities within the civil aviation sector — including major airlines, OEMs, and integrators.

You'll act as the strategic partner and voice of the customer, guiding internal teams to deliver high-spec seating solutions that exceed expectations in comfort, innovation, safety, and compliance.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies, high-profile clients, and a globally respected UK brand.

*

Own and grow a portfolio of aerospace seating accounts across the UK and international markets.

*

Identify and develop new sales opportunities with OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and airline clients.

*

Build long-term relationships with procurement, engineering, and programme stakeholders.

*

Drive RFQ responses, pricing strategy, bid preparation, and contract negotiation processes.

*

Collaborate with internal engineering, design, and operations teams to ensure product delivery aligns with client expectations.

*

Track market trends, competitor activity, and customer developments to inform strategy.

*

Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, and client meetings worldwide.

*

Provide accurate forecasting, pipeline reporting, and commercial insight to senior leadership.

Required Experience & Skills:

*

5+ years' sales or business development experience within the aerospace industry.

*

Prior exposure to seating, interiors, or other cabin-related systems is highly desirable.

*

Excellent track record in B2B sales, including negotiating complex, high-value contracts.

*

Strong understanding of the aerospace OEM and MRO landscape.

*

Technically minded with the ability to engage with engineers and translate requirements into solutions.

*

Comfortable with UK and international travel
