Sales Executive – Group Bookings (Hostel Sector)

An international company in the hospitality and tourism sector is currently seeking a Sales Executive to focus on group bookings and expand guest acquisition across its network of hostels. With over a decade of experience and a diverse property portfolio — including hotels, hostels, student residences, and senior living accommodations — this company is on a growth path to become a European leader in the sector.

The Role:

We are seeking a Sales Executive to focus on group bookings and new guest acquisition for our hostels. This role is perfect for someone passionate about hospitality, with strong sales instincts and a love for connecting with people from around the world.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies targeting group bookings and long-stay guests.
  • Build lasting relationships with existing clients, ensuring satisfaction and loyalty — especially among backpackers, student groups, and international travelers.
  • Identify market trends and spot new business opportunities in the hostel and budget travel segment.
  • Collaborate with marketing and operations to ensure smooth booking experiences and high customer satisfaction.
  • Represent the brand at travel fairs, trade shows, and networking events to grow market presence.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with group organizers, travel agents, and B2B partners.
  • Manage group inquiries and maintain accurate records of quotes and client communications.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of sales experience in hostels, budget accommodations, or tourism.
  • Background in business, tourism, or hospitality (degree preferred).
  • Experience handling group bookings and understanding the needs of international and long-term guests.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills; ability to build rapport with diverse clients.
  • Results-driven, adaptable, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with booking systems/software.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written); other languages are an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel for events and business development.
  • A genuine passion for hospitality and a drive for personal and professional growth.
