Sales Executive – Global B2B titles for a C Suite audience

Newsdesk Media is a global media services organisation with offices in the UK, Beijing and Washington. We specialise in the production of high calibre publications on behalf of prestigious public and private sector organisations worldwide.

Established in 1997, the company works closely with governments, organisations and corporate clients to develop top quality publications for prestigious events such as the G7 and G20 summits and investment titles for leading governments including the UAE, Kazakhstan and China.

Due to acquiring new prestigious contracts, we have a vacancy for a sales executive.

This role presents unrivalled opportunity for progression and an exciting career in magazine publishing. Selling display advertising to a very senior audience, this is a must for anyone who wants a serious career in media sales.

To be successful in this role you will be able to work to deadlines and keep to the pace of a busy sales floor. An additional language – preferably Russian or Chinese and an understanding of the power of business to business sales would also be beneficial.

Comfortable making effective outgoing cold sales calls, you will establish and maintain regular client contact within all allocated market sectors and build relationships with advertisers and agencies in order to gain new and additional revenues. There is also an opportunity for face to face selling.

To make the most of our excellent training, you need to be eager to learn in order to add to your current experience, confident and able to put your existing and newly acquired skills into immediate practice. Good listening skills are a must so you can really understand the client’s needs. We are an organisation that believes in quality consultative selling ahead of scripted calls. Although self-motivated, you will demonstrate your ability as a team player always looking for an opportunity to cross sell into our numerous other titles. It’s not an easy role, but the rewards are exceptional – some of our best sales execs are earning £70k+.

We offer a good basic salary and a highly competitive commission package, a personal training plan and 25 days’ holiday. Based in brand new bright modern offices Camden – nearest stations Warren St, Euston and Great Portland St, we have numerous titles here and are always keen to promote from within.
