The appointment of a UK Sales Executive forms a fundamental building block in our EMEA strategy and in turn, offers significant development and personal growth opportunities for a successful candidate.
Job Summary:
Reporting to the Sales Director for EMEA the Sales Executive will be responsible for generating and managing their own pipeline with phased targets to grow BW Integrated Systems market presence and reputation within the UK. In addition to the day-to-day responsibilities, the successful candidate will be involved in continuing to grow our UK and Ireland sales strategy working closely with the Sales Director.
We are bringing new products to the UK and entering new markets with our existing portfolio. Our ideal candidate in this role will have a proven track record in B2B capital equipment sales in the packaging industry. We are looking for a self-starter who’s up for a challenge and keen to make their mark in the packaging industry.
Job Responsibilities:
- Generating opportunities for de-palletising, palletising and system integration projects
- Be the key point of contact for BW Integrated Systems for your customers
- Managing pipeline and maintaining CRM opportunity data (MS Dynamics 365)
- Introducing BW Integrated Systems to new customers
- Building relationships with new and existing customers at a senior level
- Present technical proposals to customers
- Reviewing and interpreting RFQ details
- Reviewing and sense checking proposals technically and commercially before preparing them to be sent to the customer
- Promotion of additional services and offerings from BWIS – Spare Parts, Upgrades, Field Service
- Build relationships internally across departments
- Effectively communicate opportunity details internally (technical and commercial)
- Keep abreast of latest technology developments
- Be aware of and communicate competitor activity and capabilities
- Supporting the Sales Director with ongoing strategy development
- Promotion of Barry-Wehmiller companies’ capabilities across the Packaging Platform
- Build relationships with peers across the Packaging Platform and BW Integrated Systems colleagues globally
- Awareness of Health and Safety requirements appropriate for customer site visits
Skills and Competencies:
- Knowledge of the packaging industry
- Ability to understand technical proposals and drawings

Education/Experience:
Minimum of 5 years in field sales of capital equipment.
Bachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent technical qualifications in a relevant discipline.
Additional notes:
As travel will be a key part of the role, the successful candidate will be required to hold a valid UK driving licence and passport. Additionally, the candidate will need to meet any other requirements for international travel.
