Job Title: Sales Account Manager
Area: Sheffield
Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 per annum + bonus
Hours: Monday - Thursday, 08:00 - 17:00 - Friday finish at 16:00 (36.5 hours per week)

Sales Duties:
- Customer Service and Interaction:
- Service Excellence: Ensure high service levels in all customer interactions, both verbally and electronically.
- Customer Feedback: Collect feedback through surveys and regular communications.
- Satisfaction Surveys: Aim for high response rates in customer satisfaction surveys.
- Quality Responses: Provide accurate information and relevant certifications in response to customer quality questionnaires.
Sales and Quotation Management:
- Requirement Interpretation: Understand customer needs from engineering drawings, sketches, and descriptions.
- Pricing Calculation: Determine prices based on material costs and additional processes.
- Quotation Preparation: Create and send quotations using company systems, ensuring they meet quality standards and terms of sale.
- Quotation Follow-Up: Follow up on quotations through verbal and email communications.
- Status Updates: Keep quotation statuses updated in company systems.
Financial and Compliance Responsibilities:
- Credit Management: Check customer credit limits and coordinate with Accounts or directors as needed.
- Ensure payment is received before production if credit is not available.
- Compliance Adherence: Follow Quality compliance, GDPR, and Anti-Bribery rules in all customer dealings.
Product and Market Development:
- Product Knowledge: Stay informed about the company's offerings and competitive landscape, and research new products to add to the company's portfolio.
- Market Development: Identify and develop new markets to drive sales growth, logging detailed customer information for strategic planning.
Client Relationship and Marketing:
- Client Relationship Management: Enhance the value of current customers and attract new ones by building strong client relationships.
- Contacting Potential Clients: Research and connect with potential clients, arranging meetings to explore opportunities.
- Marketing Initiatives: Plan and oversee new marketing strategies, finding innovative ways to boost the company's market position.
- Cross-Sales and Promotion: Promote and facilitate cross-sales opportunities across different departments, ensuring a cohesive approach to client solutions and maximizing overall company revenue.
Logistics and Administration:
- Coordinate with the production team to agree on delivery times that meet customer requirements.
- Assist with the transport process to ensure on-time, in-full (OTIF) deliveries.
- Ensure safe and efficient transport operations, aiming for OTIF deliveries.
- Book appropriate transport using external services that suit the load requirements (e.g., load size, quantity, and weight).
- Monitor the progress of jobs using production planning software to ensure items are ready for collection/delivery deadlines.
- Monitor transport costs on a job-by-job basis and log transport costs and transport providers on relevant jobs using computer systems.
- Ensure transport costs are covered by charges made to customers (Carriage charge).
- Organise and maintain company records, ensuring accurate filing of documents in both physical and digital systems.
