Leekes Retail was established in 1897 as an ironmonger in the Welsh Valleys and the group has grown and diversified over the last 120 years. It remains a family business run by the fourth generation with the retail division trading from 4 large home department stores, 2 furniture stores and a builders’ merchants, whilst the leisure group includes two four-star hotels – the Vale Resort and a 17th century grade I listed castle Hensol Castle in addition to a gin distillery and visitor centre.
