In support of a specialist and successful family-owned business predominantly based in the West Midlands supporting the aerospace sector as well as others in the UK and internationally, we are seeking a new Sales Director on an exclusive basis.
With a turnover of circa £25m and specialisms in the design, manufacture and supply of graphite machining, EDM wire, EDM wire spares and copper components and assemblies, our Client has a distinguished history in supplying aero engine manufacturers and their resulting supply chains, in particular. Their capability is considered to be niche within the EDM manufacturing industry. With an ongoing focus on the continued growth of their existing and future customer relationships in the UK, Europe and North America, the Sales Director is required to strategically continue this journey.
Reporting into the UK based Board of Directors, the selected individual will be heavily involved in growing sales through core client relationship management, new client identification along with managing the existing sales staff of 12. You are required to be a pro-active and key member of the senior management team.
Based from the Midlands based head-office, this role will be office based but there will be extensive overseas travel. Targeted international territories include Europe, North America and a longer-term strategic consideration to Asia.

A strong engineering/manufacturing background is essential for this role with individuals being at a degree or equivalent level. They will probably be qualified above this and have a background and high level of experience in business and sales management.
