The role
Reporting to the Sales Director, the Sales Controller will lead one of the Grocery Multiples business units, overseeing a small team of National Account Managers to drive long-term strategy across all product categories. This role requires strong leadership and strategic skills to motivate the team and shape the approach, advancing the retail agenda across the wider business. The position is office-based, with flexibility to work from home two days per week.
About you
You are well-trained and structured, with experience in both blue-chip and medium-sized, more entrepreneurial food businesses. You have a strong understanding of the retail sector, with a proven track record of driving profitable sales growth with leading retailers such as Sainsbury’s or Waitrose. Your experience includes branded products and ideally own-label, giving you valuable cross-functional expertise, including innovation experience and the ability to influence key internal and external stakeholders.
You are either a Sales Controller seeking your next challenge or an ambitious Grocery Multiples SNAM ready to step up into a Controller role. Highly personable, ambitious, and commercially savvy, you are a supportive coach with a structured approach—and most importantly, you thrive on winning as a team.
Minimum Requirements:
Salary: To £100k + car allowance & benefits
