Sales Branch Manager – Road Freight

Location: Bournemouth, UK

Salary: up to £65,000pa (DOE) + Company Car + Bonus (OTE: £90,000pa)

Working Hours: Monday to Friday – 8:30am-5:30pm

Are you a results driven Sales Manager, experienced in Sales and Business Development for UK, EU and International Road Freight? This role could be right for you!

My client is offering a fantastic package to help grow their business and Freight Forwarding sector. The right candidate will be an experienced and fully established Freight Sales Manager who has worked previously for a UK based Freight Forwarder with knowledge and experience with Road Freight Operations and Sales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To develop and maintain effective business relationships with new and existing clients, offering excellent freight forwarding services.
  • Manage new and existing business.
  • To generate and follow up sales leads, visiting potential and existing customers to obtain new business at reasonable profit.
  • Be the forefront of the companies’ development by promoting the business to new and existing clients.
  • Lead a team of Business Development Managers and Sales Specialist, ensuring KPIs are met to maximise branch revenue.
  • Handle financial responsibilities for the branch, including P&L documentation and cost control.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a management role in the freight/logistics industry.
  • Freight Forwarding Sales / Business Development Manager Experience.
  • Experience or knowledge of Freight Forwarding Operations.
  • Experience working for a UK based freight forwarding company.
  • People Management and Leadership experience.
  • Ability to bring business would be advantageous.
  • Hold a full, clean, UK driving licence.
