Job description

IKEA Reading are looking to welcome Sales Assistants to join our team.

A Sales Co-worker at IKEA helps customers, boosts sales, shares product knowledge, keeps the sales area attractive, and works well with the team.

WHAT WE OFFER
  1. The Start Date of employment will be: 17th of May 2025
  2. Competitive hourly rate of £13.25 per hour.
  3. 12 to 24 hours working 3/4/5 days per week (depending on contract size)
  4. 20hrs - Bedroom planning, availability to work Monday, Tuesday and Friday from 10am till 2pm along with weekend working.
  5. All our part time role will receive 1 weekend off a month.
  6. We can discuss flexibility to match your life and our business needs during the interview.

  1. You are skilled at forward planning, can handle several tasks at once with ease, and take pleasure in being a team member as well as fulfilling responsibilities on your own.
  2. Have a customer first mindset, where you make the customer feel valued and supported in everything you do.
  3. Take initiative, make well-informed choices, and actively engage with your daily tasks.
  4. You prioritise and organise your own work to make efficient use of the time available with great attention to detail.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
  1. You provide an inspirational shopping experience for our customers by actively approaching them to identify their needs and advising them on the best solutions for their life at home.
  2. You are always enthusiastic about the range, curious to learn the stories behind the products and their design.
  3. You support maximising sales by ensuring your area of responsibility is clean, fully stocked, all products priced, well presented and easy to shop. Some products may involve heavy lifting.
