REED Engineering & Manufacturing are working with a leading Engineering & Manufacturing company.


Job Summary

Be the primary point of contact for our oil & gas and aerospace customers. The main focus of the role is to build and strengthen customer relationships to achieve long-term partnerships and to maximise commercial opportunities, by providing excellent customer service.


Main Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Be the main customer contact for allocated accounts.
  2. Plan and attend customer visits and trade shows, both UK and abroad.
  3. Manage other sector/customer accounts to provide holiday and sickness cover.
  4. Work in an autonomous fashion.
  5. Generate business through the conversion of enquiries into orders and promote the company in the marketplace.
  6. Develop key accounts and customer partnerships while maintaining a high level of customer service.
  7. Maximise order value, frequency, profit, and payment terms.
  8. Identify business development opportunities.
  9. Achieve and exceed sales targets and meet department objectives.
  10. Administer enquiries, quotations, and order entry.
  11. Liaise with Customers, Field Sales, Planning, Production, Quality, and Technical.
  12. Periodically attend customer visits, exhibitions, and networking events.
  13. Undertake sales order review procedures.
  14. Produce and issue order status reports.
  15. Produce sales reports.
  16. Have a good understanding of engineering markets and production processes.
  17. Understand engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  18. Assist the Commercial Manager with marketing activities including LinkedIn posts, website updates, and promotional campaigns.
  19. Use Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Skills Experience and Qualification

Proven experience in selling in the Aerospace or Oil and Gas segments. Evidence of successful sales experience on industry-related products.
