Job description

Sales Account Manager - Lab Instruments (Entry Level)

Taylorollinson are partnered with a UK manufacturer of laboratory equipment who are currently seeking a confident, commercially aware individual who will be responsible for developing sales for their instrumentation portfolio across the North of the UK, selling into both academic research and industrial customer accounts. Full comprehensive sales and product training will be provided for the successful candidate.

Key Role Responsibilities

  1. Maintaining current business and cultivating fresh accounts by means of prospecting, lead generation via in-person visits and virtual meetings.
  2. Efficiently managing the designated territory, including direct oversight of sales projects and negotiations (travel to customer sites approx. 3 days per week).
  3. Assisting in the advancement of customer applications and supporting them throughout the buying process.
  4. Arranging and participating in conferences and exhibitions.
  5. Aiding in the formulation of marketing communications for customers.
  6. Delivering sales presentations and demos to demonstrate instrument functionality.

Candidate Requirements
  1. A degree in chemistry or materials science or equivalent experience.
  2. Some form of experience in a target-driven, customer-focused environment.
  3. Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities.
  4. UK Driving licence with the willingness to travel across the North UK region.
