Job description

Sales Executive (Remote / Field Based) required for a logistics company in the Essex/Oxfordshire/Reading/London area. This is an ideal role for a candidate with 2 years of experience in sales or a number of years in account management within a freight forwarder. You will have an understanding of freight forwarding. This role focuses on being the face of the company within your patch rather than a hardcore sales role. You will conduct 10-12 face-to-face meetings a week, and the targets are based on winning either new or repeat business instead of financial targets. The salary is 36-40k basic plus a bonus each year based on the number of new clients won, along with a car allowance of 5k a year. This role is field-based, with the option to work from home on days without meetings.


The Role
We are looking for a candidate as a Sales Executive (field based) who can meet both new and repeat clients. You will ensure the client base has a range of regular visits, working through a list of 150 previous clients to re-win them and focusing on repeat business as well as new business. This is a client-facing role with about 12 meetings each week. This role is not hardcore sales; it is about building client relationships as well. You will perform all the normal duties associated with a Sales Executive (field based).


Experience
We are looking for a Sales Executive (field based) who has an understanding of freight forwarding. You might be from the operations side wanting to step into sales, an account manager wanting to be more field-based, or a sales executive or business development manager looking to advance in your career. You will be able to hold meetings, with around 10-12 meetings per week. Excellent communication skills and a passion for growing relationships are essential. It is also essential that you currently reside within the Essex, Greater London, or Berkshire area, as meetings can be scheduled on short notice with clients.
