Sales Account Manager

Location: Verwood, Dorset

Hours: Full time (Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5pm)

Salary: £28,875 per annum + Bonus

About our client / role:

Our client is a supplier of commercial and industrial office equipment, already very well established with many client accounts, offering competitive prices and fast delivery for their clients. Products supplied aim to cover every business need becoming a one-stop shop for many customers.

Our client is seeking an Account Manager to support the business growth, maximising on opportunities for building and maintaining client accounts.

Key responsibilities and main duties:

  1. Deliver on sales targets and Key Performance Indicators, growing individual portfolio of accounts.
  2. Maintain strong relationships with current clients, over the telephone, understanding their business needs and remaining up to date with any changes, recognising opportunities to secure sales, solidifying the business as a preferred supplier.
  3. Identify new prospective accounts and build a collaborative relationship, which results in sales revenue growth for the business.
  4. Accurately sustain accurate client records through taking thorough notes and updating the records with comprehensive detail.
  5. Work in unison with the team, towards the collective goal to grow revenue.

Skills required to be successful in this position:

  1. Performance driven, recognising any chances for growth and success to outperform on targets.
  2. Motivated, self-starter with a positive working attitude.
  3. Ability to react to changes in pace and priorities and work well under pressure.
  4. Excellent communications skills, spoken and written.
  5. Computer literate, with the ability to use multiple systems and databases.
  6. Experience in a role with a similar demand, with proven ability to consistently exceed sales targets would be advantageous.
