Salaried Trainee Science Teacher – Watford

Are you an aspiring Science Teacher looking to begin training in September?

Are you looking for a full-time salary whilst completing your teacher training?

We are looking for an Unqualified Science Teacher (Salaried Trainee Science Teacher) who will be looking to join our team on a long-term basis to then begin their teacher training with us the following year. This means a full year of experience ready to delve into teaching!

N.B -We are unable to provide visa sponsorship. Candidates must have Right to Work in the UK (full-time) from now until September 2026.

You'll gain a PGCE (Post-Graduate Certificate of Education) and your Qualified Teacher Status whilst working hands-on in the classroom as a Science Teacher. Immediately having impact, your tutor and coach will support you to build up your independent teaching time during the year.

Salaried Trainee Science Teacher Eligibility:

You will need a degree at 2.2 minimum in either a Biology, Chemistry or Physics related subject or at least an A-level in one of these as well as GCSE Maths & English (or overseas equivalents accompanied by an ENIC statement) as well as Right to Work in the UK.

The Salaried Trainee Science Teacher Programme Includes:

  • Weekly training sessions - These sessions will take place throughout your training year, enhancing the skills you’re learning in the classroom.

The Salaried Trainee Science Teacher training programme itself is school-based and you will spend half a day every week in a session with your tutor and other trainees in the school.

Salaried Trainee Science Teacher - Salary Details:

  • £100+ per day
  • Graduate Teaching Apprenticeship £25,000 per annum
  • 2 Year guaranteed salary
