This role will involve delivering disability football sessions in community settings to a range of pan-disability participants over weekend and evening delivery sessions.

What is the role?

We have an exciting opportunity for a Disability Football Coach to come on board and join the Saints Foundation. This role will deliver football sessions to young people and adults with sensory impairments in accordance with the standards and professionalism set out by Saints Foundation.

The role will consist of planning and delivering practical football sessions based in schools and community venues, including a pan-disability league and impairment-specific sessions.

What are we looking for?

The ideal candidate will be able to support Saints Foundation’s disability programme in delivering exciting and engaging sessions for children, young people, and adults with a learning, physical, or sensory impairment in accordance with Saints Foundation’s expectations. You will prepare and deliver against lesson and session plans aligned to curriculums and programmes provided.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and organized individual who can keep track of each session and report back to the project lead when needed. Ideally, you will have previous experience in coaching sport to children, young people, and adults with learning, physical, or sensory impairments.

Person specification:

  1. Minimum FA level 2 coaching qualification
  2. Coaching disabled footballers
  3. Relevant experience of working with disabled young people
  4. Good IT skills
  5. Flexible approach to working hours
  6. Good communication and organizational skills
