SAGE X3 Support Engineer
Programme: LCST (Logistics Commodities & Services Transformation)

Role Overview:
Working within the IS Operations Application Support team, the role will sit alongside system analysts and engineers, overseeing and managing the Sage X3 ERP system of the LCST programme.
Your key responsibility will be to ensure the system is functioning effectively, and provide support to end users, while also handling upgrades, troubleshooting, and configuration tasks.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operating as part of our third line support team to triage issues and either resolve or work with Developers on a path to resolution.
- Manage and maintain the Sage X3 ERP system.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot any issues, ensuring minimal disruptions and optimal performance.
- Provide guidance on user access and permissions within the Sage X3 environment.
- Configure Sage X3 to meet business requirements, including setup of modules, workflows, and user preferences.
- Manage integration with other systems and applications.
- Plan and execute upgrades, patches, and maintenance schedules for the Sage X3 system.
- Provide technical support to users, addressing queries and resolving issues related to the Sage X3 system.
- Providing training and user manuals for the current solution.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to identify and document system requirements.
- Provide periodic reports on system performance, updates, and issues to management.
- Flexible to take on additional infrastructure and technical responsibilities as deemed necessary.
Skills Required:
- Proven experience as a Sage X3 administrator or in a similar ERP system administration role.
- Strong knowledge of Sage X3 functionalities, modules, and integrations.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong technical aptitude.
- Methodical and logical problem solver for resolving complex problems, determining improvement opportunities, and implementing resolutions.
- Effectively manages time to meet deadlines amidst periodic interruptions.
- Good stakeholder management, technical execution, and attention to detail.
- Self-starter / self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills - expect to liaise closely with others and write documentation.
Skills Desired:
- SQL query writing skills to interrogate databases.
- Understanding of Logistics and supply chain management working with Enterprise resource planning applications.
- Working knowledge of ITIL framework and experience of working in an agile environment.
- Experience working in restricted or complicated environments.
- Working understanding of maintenance on both Linux and Windows based operating systems within a Cloud Environment.
- Previous experience working with automation (OpenShift, Ansible, Docker, Jenkins, etc).
Clearance Requirements:
- Pre-screening to Start BPSS.
- Clearance for Role SC.
