Safety Engineer

Our client, a leading player in the aerospace sector, is seeking a Safety Engineer to support the growth of their aerospace portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with the Head of Airworthiness and Safety (AW&S) to maintain and manage the aerospace-compliant Safety Management System (SMS), ensuring adherence to all Product Safety requirements.
2. Provide expert advice to Project Teams on Product Safety.
3. Lead and execute Safety Management activities.
4. Represent the Safety department in Customer and Internal Design Reviews.
5. Develop, review, and approve safety documentation.
6. Assist the Head of AW&S in developing and implementing in-house safety management training programs across the organisation.

Skills and Qualifications:

1. Proven expertise in safety engineering within design contexts.
2. Experience with Def Stan 00-056 and/or Mil Std 882.
3. Familiarity with ARP 4754 and ARP 4761 standards.
4. Extensive experience in aviation safety.
5. High attention to detail.
