Are you looking for a challenge in health, safety, and risk management?

Sodexo is seeking a Safety & Risk Assistant to support the Safety & Risk Manager in ensuring compliance with Fire, Health, Safety & Environmental regulations at HMP Forest Bank. This role involves administrative management, accident investigations, and promoting a safe working environment. We are also offering a competitive salary of £25,997.91 rising to £27,324.39 after 1 years service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide administrative support, including managing DATIX, safety files, and noticeboards.
• Assist with health & safety training, accident investigations, and claims management.
• Support compliance with fire safety, health & safety legislation, and Sodexo policies.
• Maintain and update the HMP Forest Bank Health & Safety & Fire Action Plans.
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders.

What We’re Looking For:

• Level 2 Health & Safety & Food Safety qualification (or working towards it).
• Awareness of Fire & Health & Safety legislation.
• Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office) and attention to detail.
• Excellent planning, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Security clearance and a valid driving license.
• Experience in fire, health & safety, audits, or custodial environments.
