Safer Neighbourhood Officer – Belfast

The Belfast City Council urgently requires a Safer Neighbourhood Officer to work in Linenhall Street, Belfast. Initially this role is for 3 months on a temporary basis with the possibility of an extension based on performance. The hours of work will be Monday to Thursday 7.30am until 3.30pm and Friday 7.30am until 3pm with an hourly rate of £15.98.

Main Duties:

• Patrolling various locations to identify anti-social behaviour such as on-street drinking, littering, and graffiti.
• Working in conjunction with local representatives to identify solutions to community safety problems.
• Occasionally attending meetings.
• Inputting incidents and response data onto relevant software systems.
• Delivering allocated community safety interventions such as environmental cleanups, youth diversionary programmes, and health improvement projects.

What We Need From You:

• Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in one of the following three areas: enforcement, community engagement, or interagency working.
