Job description

Help get better trained personnel to the front line faster.

We are dedicated to providing exceptional Royal Navy career training.

As an Instructor you will deliver high quality instruction in RYA Day Skipper/Competent Crew/Start Yachting at Britania Royal Naval College.

Whilst training you will be required to stay at sea or on the yacht at BRNC. On average you will work 14 hours per week - courses agreed a year in advance.

Job Description:
What you'll be doing:
  • Deliver Instruction in RYA Day Skipper/Competent Crew/Start Yachting
  • Courses will be 2 days and 5 days
  • 5 days courses will involve being at sea for 5 days
  • For the 2 day courses you will be moored at BRNC overnight
  • Undertake direct support tasks including preparatory work for training delivery activity, post-delivery assessments and post-delivery activities
  • Provide SME input into the Training design activities including LSPEC/ASPEC
What we're looking for:
  • RYA Yacht Master Instructor or Cruising Instructor (Sail)
  • Commercially Endorsed
  • RYA Advanced Powerboat Instructor (Desirable)
  • RYA Powerboat Instructor (Desirable)
  • Ability to stay away from home for periods of time
  • Must be able to be cleared to UK SC level
