Job description

Currently recruiting for an experienced ROV Project Engineer on a contract basis for a subsea company based in Bridge of Don, Aberdeen. It’s an ongoing long-term contract position and the company are only considering PAYE contractors for this particular role.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Supporting the Project Manager and coordinating with clients/vendors regarding processes and protocols.
  • Responsible for deliverables within the defined schedule, including the preparation, writing and updating of documentation.
  • Completing documentation/manuals associated with newbuild subsea/ROV systems and equipment.
  • Reviewing procedures and drawings in order to ensure practicality from an ROV operations point of view.
  • Maintaining awareness of current requirements and the latest industry codes and standards.
Experience/Qualifications:
  • An Engineering degree qualification would be preferred.
  • Previous experience in a similar ROV Project Engineer type role, directly within the North Sea Subsea sector, is essential.
  • Experience in the production of technical documentation for remotely operated subsea equipment is essential.
  • Applicants should have a strong knowledge of ROV offshore operations, in particular subsea construction and remote intervention.
  • Applicants should have sound knowledge of ROV system design and system-level engineering.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and Mathcad would be preferred.
