Salary: GBP25,000 - GBP27,000 depending on experience

Monday to Friday, 40 hrs per week, 5:30am till 2:30pm

We are working with a leading logistics company who are looking for a Route Planner to join their friendly team. As their new Route Planner, you will be responsible for planning daily, local routes for HGVs and other vehicles. Other duties will include answering emails, answering incoming calls, providing quotes, and office administration.

This role will suit someone who has previous route planning experience or someone who is interested in securing their first transport planning role and wants to expand their skillset!

The Route Planner will be responsible for:

• Planning daily routes for HGVs and other vehicles
• Utilising geographical, fuel efficiency, and weight knowledge to plan the most effective and efficient routes
• Communicating with drivers and support where needed
• Organising the flow of incoming emails
• Dealing with customer queries
• Answering calls and providing customer support
• Administration duties

Skills and Experience:

• Route planning experience is ideal but not essential
• Previous experience or interest within a transport or logistics role
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Good telephone and communication skills
• Computer literate
• This role would suit a candidate with previous experience as a Transport Planner / Route Planner / Transport Route Planner / Transport Planning Coordinator / Logistics Planner / Route Coordinator
