Job summary
We are looking for a self-motivated individual to join our Dispensary and Purchasing and Distribution Team within the Main Pharmacy. We are a dynamic and fast paced team who are dedicated to the safe dispensing and distribution of medications to patients across the hospital.

The purpose of this role is to support the function of the Dispensary and Purchasing and Distribution areas within the Pharmacy Department by performing a variety of tasks on a rotational basis.
Assist the pharmacy team, under the supervision of a registered Pharmacy Professional (i.e Pharmacist or Pharmacy Technician) in providing high quality services to patients, Healthcare professionals and other services users.
Take part in the management of stock, including expiry date checking and actively participate in routine stock checks.
Take an active role in accurately dispensing medicines from the Dispensary in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), providing a high quality, efficient and timely service for inpatients, discharge to-take-away (TTA) medicines and other complex preparations.
To liaise with the pharmacy team and ward team to ensure stock levels are adequate for ward needs.
To support the over labelling and pre packing of medications.
Ensure the working environment is kept clean, tidy, in accordance with SOPs, Health and Safety and adhere to the Trust waste management policy.
Support the Lead Pharmacy Technician - Operations, Dispensary Manager and Purchasing and Distribution Leads in the delivery of an effective, efficient and professional Pharmacy.
