Rotational Clinical Pharmacist - Hospital

  • Location: Lincoln, Lincolnshire
  • Position: Rotational Clinical Pharmacist
  • Service: General Hospital
  • Salary: £37,000 - £52,800 per annum (Band 6 / 7) - dependent on experience
  • Hours: Full time - 37.5 hours
  • Contract type: Permanent

About the role:
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Rotational Clinical Pharmacist to join a highly reputable private hospital based in Lincoln, Lincolnshire. The pharmacy departments provide ward-based, Dispensary, and Aseptic Dispensing services to a range of general specialist areas. The hospital covers a variety of specialisms including General Medical, Surgical, Haematology, Oncology, and Critical Care wards. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Rotational Clinical Pharmacist to join an expanding, friendly, and diverse pharmacy team. The role will involve interacting with patients across various departments and is a great way to expand upon your skills.

Duties and responsibilities
You will be working as a Rotational Clinical Pharmacist and responsible for the following:

  • Clinical Pharmacist duties across a variety of wards
  • Investigate patients' drug histories where appropriate
  • Supervise pharmacist on rotation in the dispensary providing clinical checks of prescriptions to ensure legality, clinical accuracy, appropriateness, and compliance with Policies
  • Assist in the clinical evaluations of new pharmaceutical products
  • Participate in risk management audits
  • Participate in on-call rota

Who we're looking for

  • Registered Pharmacist
  • Eligibility to live and work in the UK
  • GPHC registration with no restrictions
  • At least 1 year of experience working as a Clinical Pharmacist in the UK
  • Ideally hospital experience but not essential
  • Certificate / Diploma / Masters Degree in Clinical Pharmacy desirable
  • Medicines information experience would be advantageous

How to Apply:
All applicants must be a Registered Pharmacist with a GPHC registration with no restrictions and full eligibility to live and work in the UK. At least 1 year of post-graduate experience in the UK is also essential for this role.
