About Us:
Our client is a reputable social housing provider committed to maintaining high-quality living standards. They are looking for a skilled and reliable roofer with experience in social housing projects to join our dedicated reactive maintenance team.
Role Overview:
As a Roofer with social housing experience, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing roofs on tenanted residential properties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, and maintain roofs, gutters, and other related roofing systems on social housing properties.
- Diagnose and resolve roofing issues efficiently and to a high standard.
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations.
- Work with other team members and contractors to complete projects on time.
- Communicate effectively with tenants to ensure minimal disruption during repairs or maintenance.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and report any issues or additional repairs required.
- Assist with inspections and assessments of roofing systems as part of ongoing maintenance.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Proven experience in roofing, particularly in social housing environments.
- Knowledge of different roofing systems, including flat roofs, pitched roofs, and guttering.
- Ability to work at heights and in a range of weather conditions.
- Valid roofing qualifications (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds) and relevant certifications (e.g., CSCS, First Aid, Working at Heights). Desirable but not essential.
- Strong attention to detail and high standards of work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A full UK driving license is essential.
