Job description

My client is an established business who operate within the Social Housing sector and are looking for a Roofer to join their Responsive team within the Skelmersdale area. This is an opportunity to work with a well established Main Contractor with a great reputation, who are working on a long term framework with the Local Authority.


Key responsibilities will include:
  1. Undertake repair/renewal roofing works.
  2. Communicate effectively with the scheduler, residents, and line manager.
  3. Work safely and in compliance with Health & Safety and safeguarding requirements.
  4. Remain up to date with technical and legal requirements of skill area.
  5. Work in partnership with other operatives to complete repairs when required.
  6. Complete work sheets detailing work undertaken and materials used after each job undertaken, via a PDA.
Experience required

Previous experience working as a Roofer on refurbishment projects and have the skills to deliver small projects and repair work. Ideally you will have experience within the housing maintenance sector, but this is not a must.

You will also have relevant NVQ/City and Guilds in Roofing at Level 2 minimum and a full UK driving licence - CSCS Card is also a requirement.

This is a full time, permanent role with a salary of £33k + van and benefits.
