Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Roofer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in roofing and construction, with the ability to read and interpret schematics. This role involves working on various roofing projects, fabricating and building roof structures, and ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Duties

• Install, repair, and maintain roofs using a variety of materials including shingles, metal, and tiles.
• Fabricate roofing components as needed, ensuring precise measurements and adherence to schematics.
• Perform heavy lifting and manoeuvring of materials to complete roofing tasks efficiently.
• Utilise power tools safely and effectively for cutting, shaping, and installing roofing materials.
• Conduct inspections of roofs to identify issues or areas needing repair or maintenance.
• Collaborate with other construction professionals, including carpenters and masons, to ensure cohesive project execution.
• Adhere to safety regulations and protocols while working at heights or on scaffolding.
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment throughout the duration of each project.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Roofer or in a similar role within the construction industry.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics related to roofing projects.
• Strong skills in carpentry, masonry, welding, and other relevant construction techniques.
• Physical fitness for heavy lifting and working in varying weather conditions.
• Proficiency with power tools commonly used in roofing tasks.
• Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
