Job description

Would you like to launch your career with one of the most successful logistics organizations worldwide? Here at Kuehne+Nagel, our Memphis site is looking for a new Road Logistics Customer Care Specialist to join our Road Logistics team.

Your Role

As our Road Logistics Customer Care Specialist, you will provide exemplary customer service to our customers, clients, and vendors to create a stellar customer experience. You will get to exercise your problem-solving capabilities and road logistics know-how to make sure our customers get their cargo safe and on-time.

Your Responsibilities
  1. Utilize your knowledge in LTL, cubic capacity, LTL spot quotes, and full truckload to support our customers' logistics needs.
  2. Determine best mode (LTL, Volume, and TL) based on transit and cost.
  3. Book loads and utilize our DAT system to search for available trucks/new carriers.
  4. Regularly input and update our TMS entries.
  5. Perform daily planning of freight to maximize utilization and profit for our clients.
Your Skills and Experiences
  1. Bachelor's degree in Transportation, Logistics, Finance, or Accounting is beneficial.
  2. 2+ years experience in truck brokerage and/or LTL.
  3. 1+ years experience in customer service.
  4. A team player who can work effectively with all levels of an organization.
  5. Comfortable with Microsoft Suite, especially Outlook, Word, and Excel.
