Right Now Group are working with a medium-sized freight forwarder seeking an experienced and highly motivated Road Freight Forwarder to join their dynamic team in Dover. This role is integral to their road freight operations, requiring a skilled professional who can manage full 360-degree road freight responsibilities for both imports and exports. Given the fast-paced nature of the business and the compact size of the team, they need someone who can hit the ground running with minimal training.

Key Responsibilities for the Road Freight Forwarder:

• Oversee the end-to-end management of road freight shipments, ensuring smooth transit for both import and export clients.

• Prepare and process all necessary customs clearance documentation, ensuring full compliance with UK and international regulations.

• Coordinate with suppliers, carriers, and customs authorities to facilitate seamless transportation and delivery of goods.

• Provide accurate and competitive quotations to clients using internal systems.

• Maintain excellent communication with clients, updating them on shipment progress and addressing any queries or concerns.

• Ensure all shipping and customs documentation, such as CMR notes, packing lists, and declarations, are completed with precision.

• Keep internal systems updated with real-time shipment details and ensure accurate record-keeping.

What We're Looking For:

• Minimum 2 years' experience in European road freight forwarding, with a strong focus on both imports and exports.

• Extensive experience in customs clearance procedures and documentation.

• Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced logistics environment.

• Strong negotiation and communication skills to liaise with suppliers and clients effectively.

• High attention to detail and an analytical approach to problem-solving.

• Proficiency in using freight management and customs declaration systems.

• Ability to prioritise workload and meet tight deadlines.
