Right Now Group are looking for a to join our client in the Colnbrook Area. Our client are a dynamic and rapidly growing logistics firm specialising in global freight forwarding and supply chain solutions.

The Road Freight Operator will have a strong background in Road Freight logistics, particularly in European operations. This role requires expertise in coordinating shipments, managing documentation, and ensuring compliance with customs regulations.

Responsibilities of a Road Freight Operator:

Manage end-to-end Export processes for road freight shipments, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
Coordinate with international suppliers, carriers, and agents to secure bookings and negotiate freight rates.
Prepare and review shipping documents, including customs, commercial invoices, and packing lists.
Ensure compliance with customs regulations and other government agencies' requirements.
Monitor shipment status and provide updates to clients and internal stakeholders.
Handle shipment discrepancies and resolve any issues related to customs clearance or delivery delays.
Must be able to complete Road Freight Entries.
Maintain accurate records and documentation for audit and reporting purposes.
Collaborate with the warehouse and distribution teams to optimise logistics and inventory management.

The Successful Road Freight Operator:

Proven experience in Road Freight, with a strong understanding of international shipping procedures and regulations.
Experience with CDS is essential
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to resolving issues.

Additional information for this role

Shift: Monday - Friday
Hours: 09:00 - 17:30
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 (Depending on experience)
