NUPAS is expanding. Are you looking for the next step in your nursing career? We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic nurse or midwife. You will be based at our Surbiton or Croydon Clinic, but there will be an expectation for you to travel to, and work in a range of NUPAS centres across South West London.

We are looking for nurses who can deliver safe and effective care of patients wanting to access consultation for unplanned pregnancy, surgical and medical abortions, contraception and sexual health services for women. You will need to be able to fulfil an integral role within our multidisciplinary team delivering a confidential abortion service. You will need to be motivated, enthusiastic, caring and empathetic. Pro-choice is a must.

Person Specification

Experience

• Current Nurse and or Midwifery Council NMC registration as a Registered Nurse Sub part 1 of the NMC register Registered Midwife. Up to date knowledge and experience of working in a sexual health TOP or Gynaecological service.
• Identify and escalate any risk or safeguarding concerns to senior colleagues and actively seek to reduce or eliminate those concerns identified in a positive manner.
• To embrace safeguarding mechanisms and support staff, patients and supporters at times when safeguarding principles need to be applied.

• Faculty of Reproductive Sexual Healthcare FSRH Letter of Competence in intrauterine techniques ie IUS and or IDU fitter and Insertion and removal of Subdermal Implants. SDI Recognised qualification in Independent/Supplementary Prescribing.

Qualifications

• Current Nurse or Midwife NMC registration as a Registered Nurse Sub part 1 of the NMC register Registered Midwife.

• Up to date knowledge and experience of working in a sexual health TOP or Gynaecological service.
