Job description

Working within the Risk & Compliance team and reporting to the Senior Risk Manager, the function of the Risk Manager is to assist in the development of the company management system, ensuring that general quality, health, safety, and environmental risks are adequately managed throughout the business. This includes highlighting potential risks and methods of mitigation or solutions to the management team. The Risk Manager will work with operational teams to ensure that risk is correctly managed in accordance with company standards and ongoing adherence to the company's management system across the existing contract base.

The Risk Manager will educate, train, mentor, and assist operational teams to ensure company standards are adhered to through internal auditing, monitoring, and reviewing of the management system. They will also champion and promote the importance of risk management throughout the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Participate in the risk review/assessment in new business opportunities.
  2. Direct personal involvement in the “end to end” continuity across all aspects of the contract cycle from initial enquiry, through the tendering phase into operational, and the ongoing audit and review of services and business improvements.
  3. Implementation, monitoring, audit, and review of the management system (IMS T2) and associated policies to ensure they meet the needs of the business and the various requirements imposed on the business i.e., statutory, contractual, and industry best practices.
  4. Provide technical operational support.
  5. Assist in the upkeep and development of certifications such as ISO, IIP, NICEIC, Gas Safe, REFCOM.
  6. Cover for other members of the team as required.

The successful candidate should have a formal H&S qualification and a formal technical education in mechanical/electrical discipline or experience within facilities/building services.
