Job description

The Risk Management Training Lead is responsible for oversight and administration of the GWE risk management training program.

Reporting directly to the Business Risk Management Lead, the Risk Management Training Lead is responsible for establishing, implementing, administering, and monitoring the Global Workplace Experience training programme across the areas of environmental, health and safety, loss prevention, emergency management, business continuity, crisis management and compliance.

This role involves working with risk management professionals within the platform and vertical functions of Global Workplace Experience to ensure that appropriate training courses are in place and compliance maintained to mitigate risk to our people and business operations.


ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Training Strategy
  • Partner with Global Workplace Experience platform and vertical teams (including risk management professionals) Global Environmental, Health and Safety and Global Security to drive consistency among training practices.
  • Maintain relevant documentation, policies, procedures, and practices in relation to risk management training.
  • Support the development of annual training programmes in association with function & business process owners.
  • Represent GWE at relevant training meetings / Communities of Practice / initiatives.

Training Material / Curricula Development and Maintenance
  • Facilitate Training Needs Analysis to identify and develop RM learning and training opportunities via appropriate training formats.
  • Using a risk-based approach, partner with teams, leaders, and individuals across the Global Workplace Experience business to develop and maintain the risk management training catalogue.
  • Maintain an awareness of company training standards and practices to ensure the RM training catalogue and associated curricula remain compliant.
  • Accountable for the risk management training curriculums.
  • Management an ownership of job roles to reflect current RM training programs.
  • Maintenance of content within Learning management Systems. For example, retirement of courses, managing waivers, training completion etc.
  • Work with subject matter experts to develop electronic learning / assessment modules using appropriate technologies and instructional design principles for learners.
  • Support the generate of web-based training packages using specialist software, working with subject matter expert, function and business process owners to ensure they meet appropriate requirements.
  • Support the generation of training support materials i.e. guidance, procedures, flowcharts, playbooks etc.

Training Administration
  • Accountable for assisting Global Workplace Experience risk management professionals across vertical and platform lines with all types of EHS training and learning needs.
  • Interface with learning management system owners to ensure risk management needs are met, and to ensure learning management system owners understand risk management needs.
  • Learning management system Business Administrator, supporting the curriculum management through creation of assignment profiles, learning items, and alternate job codes while additionally processing course completion data and waivers.
  • Assign training in learning management system for Global Workplace Experience supported sites.
  • Management and ownership of electronic training records via the learning management system.
  • Ensure the standards for training documentation completion and storage are upheld.

Compliance, Monitoring and Reporting
  • Evaluate risk management training compliance risk and identify mitigation strategies as appropriate.
  • Oversight of Your Reporting Responsibility (YRR) completion across Global Workplace Experience.
  • Promoting risk management training as required.
  • Undertaking training data analysis and review.
  • Generation of reports and metrics to demonstrate training compliance.
  • Supporting Management System Reviews through the provision of training related metrics.
  • Support internal and external audits with supply of risk management training compliance documentation.
  • Foster continuous improvement behaviour to ensure the design, content and delivery of training evolves and is risk relevant to the needs of business activities.

QUALIFICATIONS
Basic Qualifications
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to participate in multiple virtual teams / projects simultaneously.
  • Project management skills
  • Thorough knowledge of Learning management system to the level of Business Administrator
  • Proficient in the application of support IT software packages i.e. Excel, Word etc.
  • Proficient in the application of specialist training software and web-based systems (e.g. Articulate).
  • Ability to set and adhere to own timelines to ensure delivery of agreed goals.
  • Be able to work largely independent of direct day-to-day supervision.
  • A minimum of five years of experience within the areas of business resilience, environment, health and safety and / or risk management operations, supporting training management
  • Organized and detail-oriented self-starter with the ability to handle competing priorities and perform under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Understanding of pharmaceutical research and development and commercial operations.
  • Professional membership of EHS and / or resilience related organization(s) (e.g., DRI, BCI, IOSH).
  • Professional membership of training, learning and development related organizations (e.g., CIPD).

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

Ability to work flexibly to accommodate global time zones.

Work Location Assignment: Sandwich, Kent, with flexible options.
