RISK CONTROLLER - OIL TRADING

Exciting new opportunity to join a top Global Trading company who are looking for a Risk Controller – Oil. The company is expanding and offers good career prospects and remuneration. The role will be based in their London Office. You would be part of a Risk Team reporting to the Head of Risk.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for the preparation and production of the daily P/L reporting process for all supply and trading activities.
2. Running an unofficial and an official ETRM system batch as basis for risk reporting. Problem resolution in case of batch errors.
3. Control of all open positions for their completeness and correctness.
4. Close liaison with Trading, Short Term Optimization, Operations and Back Office to ensure trades are captured accurately and timely.
5. Creation of detailed MtM report, with analysis of major day changes and risk limit monitoring, with escalation to management and trading in case of limit breaches.
6. Responsible for the daily maintenance of the ETRM System.
7. Control and verification of settlement prices and forward curves.
8. Definition of new price curves for P/L and MtM valuations.
9. Influencing the ETRM agenda to ensure all Risk Control system needs are met.
