Risk Analyst (Based in Cyprus)

A well-established global multi-asset trading platform is seeking a Risk Analyst to be based in Cyprus. With a huge presence in Cyprus, this role will look to support its expanding footprint across western markets.

Your new role

As a Fraud Risk Analyst, responsibilities include conducting comprehensive risk assessments to identify potential trading risks, scams, and payment-related fraud. This involves developing and implementing effective fraud prevention strategies across the user lifecycle, incorporating Know Your Transaction (KYT) protocols. Advanced data analytics tools are utilized to rapidly detect fraudulent activities within large datasets. Collaboration with cross-functional teams ensures cohesive management of interconnected risks, while specialized anti-fraud tools like LexisNexis, Sift, and Shield enhance fraud detection and prevention. Detailed reports are prepared and presented to senior management, highlighting risk assessments, findings, and recommendations for improvement.

Key Requirements

• At least 2-3 years of experience in fraud management or risk analysis, with a preference for candidates from the financial or cryptocurrency industries
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in English required.
• Resourceful, adaptable and flexible in a highly engaging environment
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency in analytics tools, such as Tableau and Business Intelligence (BI) software
• Solid understanding of cryptocurrency markets and trends
