As part of ADI’s World-Wide Manufacturing organization, the Microwave & RF Test Technician supports manufacturing in the testing and troubleshooting of medium to highly complex microwave modules. He/she has good knowledge of microwave measurements, and familiarity with using Network and Spectrum Analyzers, Power Meters, Oscilloscopes, RF Sources and other equipment used in the testing of microwave components and modules.

This is a hands-on position that requires a strong ability to work with computer-controlled test systems as an individual contributor as well as part of a team to perform microwave electronics testing and troubleshoot complex microwave and millimeter-wave modules and subsystems. The ideal candidate will have a general knowledge of electronics construction and a strong aptitude and interest in working with automated and manual test equipment as well as the communication skills required to work with engineering, management and other technicians.

Communication skills are extremely important as this role includes working with engineering on product introduction as well as training operators in ADI’s growing module manufacturing group.

Other Specific Responsibilities:

  • Test station setup and calibration
  • Maintenance of test data
  • Assembly of breadboards, test fixtures and wiring harnesses.

Job Qualifications:

  • The Test Technician requires a high school diploma with 2 years minimum experience working in the microwave electronics industry, an associate degree, or a Military background with 2+ years' training and electronics experience.
  • Must be able/willing to obtain a government security clearance. US Citizenship is a prerequisite to obtaining a security clearance.

Shift Schedule: 2nd: 3:00pm-11:30pm

Job Requirements:

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, working in a team environment.
  • Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions.
  • General working knowledge of network analyzer, spectrum analyzer, power meter, and RF signal sources.
  • Good hand-eye coordination for work under a microscope.
  • Simple hand soldering knowledge.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
